Life in Sydney would NOT suck….

Sydney, Australia is an amazing city. After spending 10 plus days here I can honestly say without a doubt I could live here with very little issues and be quite happy. In fact after all of this world travel is over you might just find me here. In the mean time I snapped a few shots from in and around the city. When I arrived I stayed in a hostel in Kings Cross for a spell. I ran around with a few new friends from there, Perttu & Dana. Seeing the city from the tower lead us to the park where we found the flying foxes, i.e. huge bats! I couldn’t help but think I was in Gothem as I took a ton of pictures as they had taken over one little corner of the park and were even hanging from Palm Trees, right in the heart of Sydney. I found a bar that absolutely has to be owned by a skydiver and I was also able to make it down to Bondi Beach a few times and was shown exactly what happens to a white boy who gets too much sun down under. After the hostel I ended up having my first couch surfing experience where I stayed in an amazing condo built on one of the piers in Sydney Harbour. Barb’s in the music business. She hosted me fore a few nights and staying with a local I got to meet a few of the other locals in the music scene and find the cool spots that only they go to. After shutting down Tatler’s around 3 am with Axle & Joe (aka Vinnie and the future Australian John Mayer) I was able to see Sydney through eyes that did not belong to that of a tourist. This indeed was a nice change of pace. After finding myself back in a hostel for the last few nights in town I ended up hearing that both the QE2 & QM2 were in town. Knowing that the Queen Mary 2 simply dwarfed the QE2 I focused my attention there. It was, to say the least……huge. So that about sums up my time in Sydney. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them! Now I find myself in Brisbane…..and more to come……keep watching 🙂
